Rules on How To Win

The member with the most popular poll by 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time on June1st, 2008 will win an iPod Shuffle.  The poll must have at least 50 votes cast, and the poll must be created on or after March 1st, 2008.  The winning member must also vote on at least 100 other polls since the start of this new contest.  In the event that that the minimum requirements have not been met the contest will continue to run until there is a winner.  The winner must also comply with the basic rules listed below.  The number of votes you have cast toward this contest are displayed in your profile.  In the event that a poll reaches 3,000 votes cast, the member will automatically win the prize regardless of how many votes they have cast, and will be rewarded the prize at the ending contest date if it had not already occurred.

By default members polls only run until they have hit 100 votes.  There are two ways to change this. You must either become a Cool Member, or sponsor the poll.  If you become a Cool Member (it's free to do), all new polls you create from now on are allowed to get 1,000 votes. Previous polls created will not increase unless sponsored. See Cool Member details. To sponsor the poll look for "Sponsor This Poll To Allow More Votes" next to the number of comments listed for the poll. For $1.95 the poll will be upgraded to allow 10,000 votes instead of the default 100.

The Points

You want points to increase your exposure. Many members and visitors check out who the top members are. By being near the top it increases the chance someone will vote on your polls. There are lots of ways to earn points. Voting is the easiest, but having a great poll can really add to your totals as well. Just creating a poll helps you earn points.

How Do You Get Points?

• Vote on other polls! Get 10 - 100 points for every vote you make.  See the right menu for current point value
• If you are the current top voter you get an additional 10 points for every poll you vote on. Updates every 15 minutes.
• Random acts of kindness! Your vote may be worth up to 500 points. 1:50 chance of winning 100-500 random points when voting on a poll.
• Create your own polls. Get 5 point for every poll you create.
• Easy 500 points!  Add a poll to your website. Once you have used the "Get Code" to add a poll to your website let me know! One credit per member.
• Get 500 points for every poll you create that receives 100 votes.
• Get 2,000 points for every poll you create that receives 1,000 votes.
• Get 3,000 points for every poll you create that receives 10,000 votes.
• Refer friends.  Get 1,000 points for every friend that joins. Once they create their first poll you automatically get points.
• Get 100 points if you or someone else sponsors your poll for 1,000 votes.
• Get 300 points if you or someone else sponsors your poll for 10,000 votes, this includes Power Poll sponsors.

Basic Rules

There are some basic rules.  You can not win the first place prize two times in a row.  anobles won the last iPod Shuffle in Feb 1st, 2008. You are allowed to vote on as many polls as you like, but are limited to just 1 vote per poll.  You are allowed to vote on your own polls once each.  You may be prevented from voting on certain polls based on your membership profile.  You must be at least 18, or have your parents permission to receive any prizes.  You must be 13 to be a member. Polls that are surveying hate,  sexually explicit, or material perceived as unfit for a general public audience will be deleted, and may be subject to account deletion.  You will receive credit for sponsoring your own polls.  Members found spamming others to take a poll will be immediately deleted, don't be afraid to email your friends though.
